Will a Spain-bought video game work on my American-purchased Macbook?

My son wants to purchase a SIMS video game for our Macbook. We are living in Spain right now so I am concerned that purchasing one here will not be compatible with our American-purchased Mac. Does anyone know for sure if a Spain-bought video game will work on an American-bought computer?

they are all the same, the incription codes are the same.
They are probably even made at the same place.
Only problem may be that the game play, and installation prcedure is in Spanish
